Entre o saber e o fazer: extensão universitária, intervenção comunitária e engajamento político - feminista

Abstract

Este artigo analisa a prática extensionista a partir do projeto “Manifestações de Gênero, Raça, Sexualidade e Religião nas Eleições 2014”, realizado entre junho e dezembro de 2014, no município de Salvador/BA, com o apoio da PROEXT/UFBA. Traçando o papel social da universidade, reflete sobre a Extensão Universitária como um processo educativo, cultural e científico que articula o Ensino e a Pesquisa. A partir de cursos de formação política com mulheres líderes comunitárias, publicação de material informativo sobre a campanha eleitoral e pesquisa de cunho etnográfico, o projeto possibilitou a formação de uma ampla equipe de graduandos e pós-graduandos que, coletivamente, produziram os resultados do projeto. Com isso, o artigo defende que a articulação entre a universidade e a comunidade é estruturante do sistema de ensino superior atual que, com a prática extensionista, assume seu papel de transformação social e busca por justiça. This article analyzes the extension practice from the project “Gender, Race, Sexuality and Religion Representations in the 2014 Brazilian Elections” conducted between June and December 2014 in the city of Salvador/BA with the support from PROEXT/UFBA. Tracing the social role of the university the text reflects on the University Extension as an educational, cultural and scientific process that articulates Profesional Learning and Research. From political training courses with women community leaders; the publication of informative material about the election campaign; and ethnographic research, the project made possible the teaching of an extensive team of undergraduate and graduate students who collectively produced the project results. With this, the article argues that the relationship between the university and the community is structuring of the current higher education system in Brazil, specially with the extension practices, and, with that, assumes its role in the social transformation and the quest for justice.
