LATIN GUITAR CONNECTIONS: SOBRE UM PROCESSO CRIATIVO AUTOBIOGRÁFICO

Abstract

Esta pesquisa artística teve como objetivo desenvolver processos criativos musicais a partir das potencialidades oriundas da investigação das relações entre música e identidades culturais no espaço latino-americano, bem como propor uma reflexão crítica sobre os produtos de tais processos. O álbum Latin Guitar Connections, gravado em Bath, Reino Unido, em 2016, é o principal produto artístico resultante de tal pesquisa e, portanto, o objeto sobre o qual versa a presente tese. Enquanto trabalho de natureza prático-teórica, é respaldado por uma bibliografia multidisciplinar onde estão contempladas as subáreas da música (especialmente performance, composição e etnomusicologia), dialogando com os estudos culturais e outras ramificações das ciências humanas.

This artistic research aims at developing musical creative processes from potentialities originated from the study on the relations between music and cultural identities in Latin American symbolic space, as well as proposing a theoretical reflection on the products of such processes. The album Latin Guitar Connections (recorded in Bath-UK, 2016) is the main artistic product resulting from this research, therefore the object addressed by the present dissertation. As a theoretical-practical work it is supported by a multidisciplinary bibliography in which the musical sub-areas are contemplated (especially performance, composition and ethnomusicology), in interaction with the cultural studies and other branches of human sciences.
