A circulação da ideia de corpo proposta por Eni Orlandi

Abstract

This thesis, as a result of qualitative bibliographical research, portrays the process of theoretical elaboration of the idea of the body, present in the works of Eni Orlandi, published between 1983-2017, from the perspective of the History of Linguistics. The aim of the research is to analyze the idea of the body in Eni Orlandi's work and to understand its effects on publications by Brazilian researchers from the materialist perspective of discourse, produced between 2013-2023. Based on expressions such as: Scientific Colonization - Orlandi (2007, 2014), Quijano (2005) and Mignolo (2014); History of the Body - Courtine (2012, 2013), Foucault (1979, 2012); Notion of the Body - Orlandi (1983, 1988, 1990, 1992, 1993, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2012 and 2017) this study was guided by the research question: how is the idea of the body formulated and circulated as a materiality of the subject in the work of Eni Orlandi? For this purpose, we studied the formulation of the idea of the body in Eni Orlandi's works from 1983 to 2017; we then selected 22 scientific papers (articles, dissertations and theses) that dealt with the idea of the body. Of the reviewed studies, we highlight, as the corpus of this thesis, clippings organized into categories and analyzed from the perspective of the Linguistics History (Swiggers, 2013). The analyses shows that: (1) Eni Orlandi formulates the idea that “the body is the materiality of the subject”; (2) that the utterance is re-signified when it is repeated, due to the mechanisms of ideology and the unconscious, which affects the subject to say things in one way and not another; (3) there are studies that approach the Orlandian idea by conferring authorship, some directly – declaring the theorist and validating her scientific creation – others, mentioning the author's reference, but without defending the legitimacy of the idea; (4) there are studies that omit the reference, as a gesture of erasure due to generalization or authorship assumption.
