Abstract

This book was made with great commitment and dedication and we hope that it will be another tool for articulation between the University and the practices in Dance developed by you. In the first chapter, Prof. Me. Bel Souza presents the Body Conditioning component, bringing concepts and understanding of some terms used in the practice of physical activity, such as training, fitness and conditioning itself. In the second chapter, Prof. Dr. Lia Sfoggia presents the Special Topics in Dance component, questioning the encounter between Art and Culture, through the investigation of aspects and concepts of contemporaneity, in implication with the making of dance. In the third chapter, Prof. Dr. Thiago Assis presents the Introduction to Dance Research Component, bringing an initial overview of concepts and procedures related to academic research, based on the understanding of Dance as a Field of Knowledge.
