Abstract

This paper presents the performative descriptive memorial of the two-month artistic residency at the Studio for Post-conceptual Art Practices of the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts developed in the project Smashing Wor(l)ds: Cultural Practices for re/imagining & un/learning vocabularies, a collaborative and multidisciplinary platform articulated by institutions, non-profit organization, communities, civil society and universities, motivated by the need to perform actions of cultural and social significance in the current context of continuous migratory and refugee crises in Europe, against various forms of epistemic violence. Among the actions of the residency were: a Lecture Performance, 05 Workshops and presentation of the Performance entitled Oríkì, inaugurated in the Festival Of Life Vocabularies, hosted in the Belvedere 21. Museum of Contemporary Art, Vienna, in 2022.

Dieser Beitrag präsentiert das performativ-deskriptive Memorial der zweimonatigen künstlerischen Residency im Studio für post-konzeptionelle Kunstpraktiken der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien, die im Projekt Smashing Wor(l)ds entwickelt wurde: Cultural Practices for re/imagining & un/learning vocabularies, eine kollaborative und multidisziplinäre Plattform, die von Institutionen, Non-Profit-Organisationen, Gemeinschaften, der Zivilgesellschaft und Universitäten ins Leben gerufen wurde, um im aktuellen Kontext der anhaltenden Migrations- und Flüchtlingskrise in Europa Aktionen von kultureller und sozialer Bedeutung durchzuführen, die sich gegen verschiedene Formen von epistemischer Gewalt richten. Zu den Aktionen der Residenz gehörten: eine Lecture Performance, 05 Workshops und die Präsentation der Performance Oríkì, die beim Festival Of Life Vocabularies, das 2022 im Belvedere 21, Museum für zeitgenössische Kunst, Wien, stattfand, eröffnet wurde.
